Groovy introduces Sinelock

The ability to legally lock your digital art is coming (well actually it’s here).

In Estonia we have been using digital ID cards for a while. It is common for us to vote using our laptops or phones. In fact 43.8% of people in Estonia voted online in the last election. We also use our ID cards to sign rental contracts.

Essentially, the way this works is by using a ‘qualified electronic signatures’. This is an EU standard now. As digital identity cards are being rolled out across the European Union it is important that technology can keep up with these to keep them interoperable. Nation states in the European Union are using different novel implementations to roll out their national digital ID card programs.

Sinelock is an Estonian based project which uses multi-signature contracts and digital identity cards or advanced digital signatures to sign contracts for digital art. These contracts are then stored on an immutable blockchain.

So this feature will be a part of the Groovy platform. So all Groovy holders will be receiving an amount in the coming weeks of SINE too, as we are lovely people. A snapshot has already been taken and this will be sent out gradually.

It needs to mentioned, this tech will NOT be available for US users. This will only be used within the European Union.

This weekend we will do a video demo of myself and Reggie creating an NFT and signing a legal contract with our ID cards and then time stamping it on the blockchain.

The roadmap is simple. Sinelock as a useable piece of software and app will launch in Beta in January. To use the software you will need to pay in SINE. That is the utility of the coin.

In regards to the Groovy platform, we are also on course for a January launch.
